Formula
The 5-Step F.O.C.U.S. Formula creates new habits of thinking,
feeling and acting.
Those who practice the 5-Step F.O.C.U.S. Formula eliminate distractions
and create the focus that allows them to take the consistent action
necessary to achieve their most important objectives.
The 5-Step F.O.C.U.S. Formula
is:
F - Free your mind of distractions
This is done by first putting yourself in a relaxed state by
taking three long, slow deep breaths. Focusing on your breath and
using it more effectively will allow you to direct you mind to eliminate
unwanted distractions.. Next you must create a system for capturing
your most important objectives, ideas and action items in a central
location. In so doing you will no longer have to juggle all of that
in your mind. This will free your mind to create greater focus.
The process Skip teaches can be applied to whatever
timeframe ( year, month, week, day, or the moment) you need to work
on and will allow participants to easily and quickly go into the
relaxed state that creates focus, self-discipline
and peak performance.
O - Observe Your Objectives
In this step you will learn to clearly observe your objectives
through the power of visualization and guided imagery that will
create for you a powerfully compelling future of your desired state
with your most important objectives achieved.
C - Concentrate on Taking the Right Action
In this step your entire focus will be on taking specific actions
to move forward on those objectives. When you focus on taking action,
there is little room for unwanted and unproductive distractions.
It is also the step where you will check in and make sure you are
not just taking action, but taking 'the right" action to achieve
your objectives.
U - Unleash Your F.E.A.R. & Procrastination
In order to be effective you must master the courage of breaking
through the fear that has held you back in the past. Understand
that F.E.A.R. means Fales Expectations Appearing Real, When you
apply the F.E.A.R. acronym to a more positive meaning, of Focusing
Entirely on Actions & Results, there will be no room for any
thoughts of fear or procrastination in your mind.
S - Smile & Enjoy the Journey
As you move through your day smile and enjoy the journey, otherwise,
what's the use. By smiling and enjoying your journey you will be
moving forward with a sense of optimism that will allow you to breakthrough
any obstacles or challenges that are sure to arise. When you smile
in the face of challenge you will more readily look for solutions
until you find those that will work for you.
